Great Falls, SC – Super Independent Baseball has announced the first annual Super Independent Baseball Fall League. The 2009 SIB Fall League will be held in the Chicagoland area. The event will begin September 20th, 2009 through October 11th, 2009.
“We feel like the Fall League can serve as a vital annual event to provide existing and prospective independent professional baseball players with a platform to display their ability for an extended period of time and hopefully get signed by an independent organization.” SIB President Jamie Toole. “There are so many kids that have had their collegiate eligibility expire and they have a desire to continue their pursuit of a career in professional baseball, the Fall League will serve as an opportunity for these young men.”
The Fall League will consist of a player combine, a player draft, an 18 game regular season, and a college World Series style playoff. For more information on the Fall League, please contact the SIB baseball operations department at players@superindybaseball.com
